Different Ways to Get Involved
1. Share on Social Media & Follow @FloridaHeartResearch
Spread the word about Florida Heart on your social media accounts and why this fight means so much to you. Share our current donation campaign and a pic of your Stop Heart Disease license plate to spread awareness on how to help fund our many research, education, and prevention programs. Let your followers know that they can switch their Florida plate to our Stop Heart Disease specialty plate at no cost- we cover the cost for them! And, if they already have our plate, they can also post a picture on social media to encourage others to make the switch!
2. Get Involved in Your Community
Give out Florida Heart freebies in your community in exchange for email addresses so we can create a greater awareness of our organization, our mission and about the many projects we support and fund. You can host fundraising events (live or virtual) to distribute informational materials and goodies to friends, family, coworkers and other places you are involved with, patronage or have memberships to (for example, your local gym, a chamber of commerce, etc.) and spread awareness through word of mouth in your community.
3. Share Your Story or Encourage Others to Share Their Story
Share your story or encourage someone else to share their story about how heart disease has affected them. Stories may be written or sent in a video for our “Stop Heart Disease Stories” tab on our website, YouTube channel and our social media platforms. Your personal stories make the biggest impact on raising awareness about how heart disease impacts every one of us in some way and motivating others to help. We appreciate your willingness to share your “why” on the fight to Stop Heart Disease.
